Woke up this morning with an email directing me to a free download of the new Evacuee album Property Type: Horse Ranch. For a bit of background, one of the guys currently in Evacuee was a member of Creeper Lagoon for their final (and criminally under-appreciated) release, Long Dry Cold. When Creeper split, I got hooked on Evacuee after hearing the song “Webster Groves”, which is probably one of my favorite songs of the last decade (SRSLY). They simply write great pop tunes with a good balance of noise and screaming thrown in for good measure. Definitely check them out if you like the track above (from their new album) or if you like to acquire audio experiences for free. Did I mention it’s free?

Sorry everybody for the lack of posts/comments. I’ve been dealing w/ computer issues of late, but I hope to have things on the up and up by next week. In better news, the lack of computing distractions has facilitated a bit of a guitar leap for me. God bless Evan Dando and his propensity for three-chord jams. Also, cool song–love the back and forth between spaced out picking and wall of sound. Plus that super clean drum sound.
