So as I mentioned yesterday, the friendly climes have me in an unexpectedly upbeat mood. In addition to sending me to the E6 roster, high spirits have also compelled me to bump several guiltier pleasures to the top of my playlist—something about the warm weather just melts away that last, tenuous layer of resistance I have to stupid catch. Though Kylie Minogue is definitely my preferred dance diva fix, of late I’ve had the damndest time saying no to the cloyingly retro stylings of another Aussie dish, Pip Brown aka Ladyhawke. Check, for instance, “Back of the Van” and “My Delirium” off her 2008 S/T.
