Because You’re An Aspiring Guitarist

A few months ago I purchased my first axe to wield in the name of rock. I don’t know why I waited so long to become interested in playing, when I’ve been around it my whole life (matt and potato cheese). But one major factor that I can attribute to me picking up an all white guitar that reminded me of Shadowfax, were people like Nels Cline. I know this isn’t the hardest or most technical solo to play, but it sounds awesome and made Impossible Germany one of my all time favorite Wilco songs.

  1. Awesome track; Nels Cline is a stud. But I don’t know man, I think it’s safe to say that the degree of difficulty in that solo is pretty darn high. He just makes it look so easy. Remind me to post some acoustic sets he did with Marc Ribot. Incredible stuff.

  2. Ya, you may have just revived my need for wilco. I still haven’t listened to their latest album…

  3. Merlin you’re missin out on their new one, there are some great songs on there. The thing that impresses me most about this video is how they manage such a clean sound live. Sounds just like the studio recording.
