As I mentioned in the last post, I am hellbent on proving to Andy that I’m not stuck in the 90’s. Case in point: this post about “Friday” by Rebecca Black. Would a grungy, teenage mutant turtle watching, Starter jacket wearing, 90’s provocateur like me post such a contemporary piece like “Friday” by Rebecca Black? Rebeccafreakingblack!? Would I Andy!?
But just in case you’re not one of the 67 million people who has seen this video, do yourself a favor and watch it all the way through. It’s painful in one of those “can’t-stop-watching-a-car-crash” kind of ways. If you watch Glenn Beck for fun, you know what I mean (don’t mean to make this political, but it’s so apt). 1. Started off taking it seriously
2. Thought the video started looking corny
3. Began paying attention to the lyrics
4. A swirling snowball of fail began to build up
5. I laughed the last minute and a half straight
